Operation. Italian Deli/Café/Eatery

Located on Charlotte Place, in the heart of Fitzrovia, London, In Parma is a new independent Italian Deli and Eatery. Being a small unit spread over ground floor and basement, the trickiest aspect of the project was making the space work.

With a brief to accommodate the unit being a café/deli in the daytime and a more formal dining environment at night, we had to think of clever ways to maximise the space. Artwork panels used to cover the fridge displays at night and a removable bar top to the counter allow for night time seating whist covering the food display below. This, together with a mixture of rough and ready finishes (exposed brick and reclaimed vegetable crates as displays), crisp detailing and eclectic wall and bar sculptures, have lead to a unique result.
