Operation. Oriental Public House and Restaurant


Our brief was to take a run down English country pub turn it into a good quality pub with a strong restaurant food offer.
Using a combination of contrasting materials we designed a space that reflected the quality of the food yet kept the character of the surrounding area. This was achieved by using bare bricks around certain parts of the site, T&G panelling to create an English feel. The flooring was composed of Oak laid with Ebony detailing to give an Oriental feel. Overall we created an Oriental gastro pub in the rural suburbs of Hatfield which offers in an inviting and cosy bar and restaurant
